Dr. Ethan Yang, a faculty member in the Center for Catastrophe Modeling and Resilience, and Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University, attended the 2025 World Bosai Forum in Sendai City, Japan from March 7th to March 10th, 2025.
"Bosai" is the Japanese word for disaster prevention and mitigation.
Dr. Yang represented the Center for Catastrophe Modeling and Resilience and participated in a panel discussion co-hosted by NSF and JST, where he discussed his ongoing flood project in collaboration with Kyoto University. This project focuses on mitigating flood impacts in resource-limited communities.
