This semester in CAT401: Introduction to Catastrophe Modeling and Resilience, our students had the opportunity to gain invaluable perspective directly from experts shaping our field through our Guest Lecture Series

Our speakers represented an array of companies and organizations at the forefront of catastrophe modeling, risk transfer, and resilience strategy.

We extend our gratitude to the following who dedicated their time and expertise:

  • Nahuel Arenas Garcia, Chief, United Nations - Office of Disaster Risk Reduction, Americas and the Caribbean
  • Mehmet Unal, AVP, Earthquake Peril, Chubb Insurance Science Center
  • Peter Williams, Chair, ARISE-US: Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies
  • Jeff Waters, Director of Product Management, Moody's (Risk Management Solutions)
  • Cory Brett, Senior Project Manager, Simpson Gumpertz and Heger (SGH)
  • Jill Beggs, EVP and CEO Reinsurance, Everest

We're proud to work with all of these organizations and look forward to next semester's series.
